Redpath aluminium tunnelhouses are one of NZ’s most popular and we have supplied many 1000’s to happy home gardeners, lifestylers, schools & institutions nationwide. Redpath Tunnelhouses are available in the popular 2.36m width and also the 3m width SuperTunnel. Our sturdy 32mm square aluminium hoops spaced at 1.5m and four 25mm square purlin rails provide strength and durability.  The main frame and base rails are 100% aluminium with no timber to rot, rust or to taint soils from tanalising.
Our designs include an integrated groove to reliably fasten the covering and also allow you to use different types of coverings if required. Our latest design tunnels have a simpler and speedier to use “V Lock” cover holding system. Redpath’s tall apex height and the wider option SuperTunnel gives plenty of space for crops and gives increased internal air volume to act as a temperature buffer and frost protector. Redpath uses SunSaver 202 micron commercial grade greenhouse film with a 7 year + service life.  SunSaver is specifically designed for plant production and has exceptional P.A.R light transmission to help lock in night-time temperatures and give superior light levels during the day. SunSaver is extremely durable against storm, sun, snow and hail plus it is safe around the home.
You can also personalise your tunnel with many optional extras! – The 6m through to 12m length tunnels include a 1.6m length roof vent. The 15m and longer models include three roof vents. You can also add extra roof vents and add an optional solar powered automatic roof vent opener.
All 2.36m models include a 630mm W x 1780mm H sliding roller bearing aluminium front door, whilst the 3m width SuperTunnel front door is the wider 830mm wheelbarrow width as standard.  A rear wall door or a ‘dual door” with one door clad in breathable mesh and the other in Sunsaver may also be fitted.
All tunnels include a rear wall louvre window as standard, plus you can select a louvre vent(s) in the sidewall as an option.
Full or part-length sidewall shelves or a 1.15m wide rear wall shelf is an option, and for extra cooling you can select a temporary “throw-over’ shadecloth cover or fit over the roof. You can also add a wind kit upgrade for the 2.36m model for a modest cost if your site is a little more exposed, the high wind kit is included standard on the 3m width SuperTunnel. The wind kit adds extra sidewall braces, Collar tie cross braces and reinforced hoop feet.
Custom sized 750mm wide raised gardens are made for the tunnelhouses – lengths are 1.4m, 2.8m and 4.4m. You can add as many gardens as you wish end-to-end to fit the longer tunnels. An overhead aluminium crop support rail(s) can also be added for hanging your plant support strings/wires.
